Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The Andalasian International Journal of Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (AIJASET) is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and rigorously preventing publication malpractice. We are committed to publishing original, high-quality research that contributes to the global intellectual community. To achieve this, we expect all authors, reviewers, and editors to adhere to the ethical guidelines outlined below. AIJASET endorses the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and strives to uphold these standards in all aspects of the publication process.

Author’s Responsibilities

  1. Reporting Standards
Authors must present their research findings accurately and objectively. Data fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation is unacceptable. Sufficient methodological details and references should be provided to enable replication of the study.

  2. Originality and Plagiarism
Submitted manuscripts must be original and must not have been published elsewhere. Any use of another author’s work or ideas must be properly cited. Plagiarism in any form is considered unethical and will result in immediate rejection.

  3. Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is unethical. Authors should not publish manuscripts describing the same research in more than one journal.

  4. Acknowledgement of Sources
Authors must acknowledge all sources of data, ideas, and materials used in their research. Proper citation of prior work is mandatory.

  5. Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the research. All co-authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission. Individuals who contributed to specific aspects of the research should be acknowledged appropriately.

  6. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that could influence the research results or their interpretation. All sources of funding for the research should be clearly stated.

  7. Fundamental Errors in Published Works
If an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, they must promptly notify the journal and cooperate in retracting or correcting the paper.

Reviewer’s Responsibilities

  1. Peer Review Policy
Manuscripts submitted to AIJASET undergo a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is initially assessed by the editor and, if deemed suitable, is sent to at least two independent reviewers for evaluation.

  2. Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and provide constructive feedback to help authors improve their manuscripts.

  3. Promptness
Reviewers who feel unqualified to review a manuscript or cannot complete the review promptly must notify the editor and withdraw from the process.

  4. Confidentiality
Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shared or discussed with others without the editor’s authorization.

  5. Standards of Objectivity
Reviews should be conducted objectively, with clear and constructive feedback. Personal criticism of the authors is unacceptable.

  6. Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any overlap between the manuscript under review and other published works should be reported to the editor.

Editor’s Responsibilities

  1. Confidentiality
Editors must ensure the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts. Information about a manuscript should only be disclosed to the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, and the publisher.

  2. Fair Play and Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are based solely on the academic merit of the manuscript, including its importance, originality, validity, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Decisions are made without regard to the authors’ race, gender, ethnicity, religion, or institutional affiliation.

  3. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Editors must not use unpublished information from submitted manuscripts for their own research without the author’s explicit written consent. Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed.

  4. Involvement in Investigations
Editors are responsible for addressing ethical concerns and ensuring the integrity of the published record. This includes issuing corrections, retractions, or clarifications when necessary and investigating allegations of research or publication misconduct.

Editorial Board Responsibilities

  1. Confidentiality
The Editorial Board must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts.

  2. Conflict of Interest
Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed, and board members must recuse themselves from decisions where a conflict exists.

  3. Intellectual Evaluation
Manuscripts must be evaluated based solely on their intellectual content, without bias or external influence.

  4. Publication Decisions
The Editorial Board is responsible for making final decisions regarding the publication of submitted manuscripts.
